Description
Lead prayer and worship through chant and song; teach liturgy, Hebrew, and cantillation; and provide spiritual support to congregants. Plan and direct music for services and life-cycle events, collaborate with clergy and lay leaders, and cultivate participation across all ages.

- • Chant Torah, Haftarah, and liturgical texts using traditional nusach.
- • Prepare and tutor bar/bat mitzvah students in prayers and cantillation.

- • Prepare participants for rituals and worship roles.

- • Collaborate with clergy and committees on worship planning, budgets, and policies.
- • Manage music program administration, including scheduling, libraries, and equipment.
- • Coordinate with AV and streaming teams to support services and events.
- • Refer individuals to community resources or professional help when needed.
- • Organize concerts, holiday programs, and community or interfaith music events.
- • Engage in outreach and mentoring to expand participation in worship and music.
- • Support and respond during pastoral emergencies in coordination with clergy.
