Description
Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction of buildings and infrastructure, translating designs into safe, high-quality field execution; manage schedules, budgets, logistics, temporary works, QA/QC, and compliance while directing contractors and resolving technical issues.
- • Perform field engineering calculations for grades, earthwork, temporary loads, and quantities to support means and methods.
- • Inspect work in progress to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- • Direct or perform construction surveying and layout to establish control, alignments, grades, and elevations.
- • Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and productivity analyses for bids, budgets, and change orders.
- • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and progress reports for owners and stakeholders.
- • Coordinate and review materials testing for soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel; confirm results meet requirements.
- • Plan site logistics, staging, crane paths, and traffic control to enable safe, efficient operations.
- • Lead constructability and value engineering reviews to improve schedule, cost, and sustainability outcomes.
- • Design and coordinate temporary works (e.g., formwork, shoring, scaffolding, falsework, lift plans) and obtain approvals.
- • Implement erosion, sediment, stormwater, and waste management controls in accordance with permits.
- • Ensure compliance with permits, QA/QC plans, and OSHA and environmental regulations.
- • Identify and mitigate construction risks related to safety, schedule, quality, and environmental conditions.
- • Provide technical guidance to field crews and subcontractors; interpret plans and resolve design issues.
- • Manage site operations, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and sequence work to meet milestones.
- • Use BIM/CAD and scheduling software to develop models, clash detections, shop drawings, and CPM schedules.
- • Maintain as-builts, punch lists, and closeout documentation; support testing, commissioning, and turnover.
