Description
Verify and reconcile financial data across accounts and systems to keep records accurate and complete. Match and balance transactions, investigate variances, and post adjustments in line with policies and controls. Prepare reconciliation reports and support period close while ensuring compliance with regulations and company procedures.
- • Reconcile bank statements to the general ledger and cash sub-ledgers.
- • Compare AP, AR, payroll, and inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolve differences.
- • Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, accuracy, and proper codes.
- • Investigate and document discrepancies; escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- • Prepare and post journal entries for reconciling items, adjustments, accruals, and reclasses.
- • Match deposits, payments, and receipts to supporting documentation and system records.
- • Reconcile credit card, merchant, and payment gateway activity to bank deposits.
- • Reconcile intercompany accounts and confirm balances with counterparties.
