Description
Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance at a biomass power generation facility. Supervise O&M staff and contractors, coordinate plant activities, and ensure safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and budget performance.
  • • Oversee testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution equipment and plant systems.
  • • Manage parts, spares, and consumables inventory and procurement.
  • • Maintain effective communications among O&M teams and with grid and site stakeholders.
  • • Ensure accurate logging of operational and maintenance data in DCS/CMMS and logbooks.
  • • Direct operators to adjust controls to meet generation targets and grid requirements.
  • • Supervise operations and maintenance staff producing power from biomass fuels.
  • • Oversee safe startups and shutdowns for outages, maintenance, and emergencies.
  • • Review logs and reports to verify production, safety, and equipment or process health.
  • • Ensure compliance with permits, emissions limits, and operating specifications.
  • • Prepare O&M performance, reliability, and compliance reports.
  • • Develop and manage O&M budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • • Plan and schedule fuel deliveries, ash handling, preventive maintenance, and outages.
  • • Authorize and oversee operation of boilers, turbines or generators, and auxiliary systems.
  • • Inspect equipment and processes to optimize capacity, availability, and efficiency.
  • • Analyze production and demand trends to identify performance improvements.
  • • Direct plant and substation operations, maintenance, repairs, and testing.
  • • Monitor KPIs and DCS parameters to track plant status and respond to deviations.
  • • Conduct routine field inspections to verify safe, compliant operations.
  • • Lead EHS programs, training, audits, and incident response.
