Description
Lead maintenance operations at biomass power generation facilities. Plan, direct, and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and resources to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant plant equipment performance.
- • Oversee testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical power distribution and generation equipment using proper tools and test devices.
- • Manage MRO parts and critical spares inventories, procurement, and storeroom controls.
- • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and records in the CMMS.
- • Calibrate, configure, and validate equipment controls and protective devices after maintenance.
- • Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors, setting priorities and standards.
- • Plan and execute equipment isolations, lockout/tagout, and coordinated shutdowns/startups for maintenance.
- • Review logs, condition data, and alarms to identify abnormalities and prioritize corrective work.
- • Ensure maintenance compliance with regulatory, safety, and OEM requirements for biomass facilities.
- • Prepare maintenance, reliability, and compliance reports for management and regulators.
- • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, contracts, and service agreements.
- • Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; coordinate vendor services and outages.
- • Coordinate with operations for equipment clearances and return-to-service testing.
- • Inspect boilers, turbines, generators, gasification systems, balance-of-plant, and facilities to improve reliability and reduce costs.
- • Analyze failure, downtime, and production trends to optimize maintenance strategies and staffing.
- • Lead maintenance, repair, and testing activities for plant, substation, and auxiliary systems.
- • Monitor equipment condition using DCS data, vibration, infrared, lubrication, and other diagnostics.
- • Conduct field inspections and audits to verify safe conditions, housekeeping, and code compliance.
- • Lead safety programs for maintenance, including permits, LOTO, confined space, hot work, and training.
- • Manage emergency maintenance response and restoration efforts.
- • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
