Avionics Systems Integration Specialist

Description
Integrate, configure, and validate avionics systems and networks across aircraft platforms to ensure interoperability, performance, and airworthiness compliance; lead system-level testing, troubleshooting, and documentation from lab to flight in coordination with engineering, suppliers, and maintenance.
  • • Set up and operate integration labs and ground support equipment to validate avionics system functions.
  • • Test and troubleshoot system interfaces using data bus analyzers, oscilloscopes, and protocol tools.
  • • Maintain integration configuration, test procedures, and result records.
  • • Coordinate integration activities with systems, software, flight test, suppliers, and maintenance teams.
  • • Analyze ground and flight test data to diagnose integration and performance issues.
  • • Oversee installation and configuration of avionics LRUs, networks, and wiring to meet integration requirements.
  • • Identify and implement system-level fixes, parameter updates, or component swaps to resolve integration anomalies.
  • • Integrate and verify interfaces among radios, navigation, sensors, power systems, and flight controls per ICDs.
  • • Build or adapt test harnesses, breakout boxes, and interface adapters for integration work.
  • • Load and manage avionics software, firmware, and databases under configuration control.
  • • Develop and interpret wiring diagrams, network topologies, and ICDs to guide system integration.
  • • Set up hardware-in-the-loop benches and simulators to prototype and validate integrations.
  • • Use CAD/CAE and modeling tools to design and document avionics integration modifications and support certification.
