Description
Refuel boats and provide basic dockside services at a marina fuel dock. Operate pump-out equipment, sell marine lubricants and supplies, process payments, assist with docking, and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant facility.
- • Activate fuel dispensers and fill vessel tanks with gasoline or diesel to requested levels.
- • Confirm fuel type with operators and monitor vents for overflow; use absorbent pads to prevent spills.
- • Handle dock lines to secure and release vessels; place fenders as needed.
- • Enforce fueling safety procedures, including no smoking and engines off.
- • Operate sewage pump-out stations and dispose of waste per regulations.
- • Sell and dispense marine oils, lubricants, ice, and basic boating supplies.
- • Process cash, credit, or account payments and provide receipts; make change as needed.
- • Prepare daily sales, fuel reconciliation logs, and meter readings.
- • Monitor fuel and supply inventory and initiate or request orders.
- • Clean and maintain docks, nozzles, hoses, spill kits, restrooms, and trash areas.
- • Provide local waterway, marina, weather, and tide information to customers.
- • Inspect fueling equipment for leaks or wear and tag out defective gear.
- • Respond to and report spills using approved containment and cleanup procedures.
- • Maintain customer and vessel records for fueling and pump-out services.
