Description
Perform light-duty preventive maintenance on passenger vehicles, including oil and filter changes, chassis lubrication, fluid services, tire rotations, and basic inspections; replace common wear items, document findings, and follow shop safety and environmental standards.
- • Lubricate chassis and applicable driveline fittings.
- • Perform engine oil and filter changes to manufacturer specifications.
- • Check and top off coolant, brake, transmission, power steering, and washer fluids.
- • Inspect belts, hoses, filters, lights, and undercarriage components.
- • Replace engine air, cabin air, and fuel filters as authorized.
- • Rotate tires, set pressures, and torque lug nuts to specification.
- • Test, charge, and install batteries.
- • Replace wiper blades, bulbs, and other minor accessories.
- • Conduct multipoint inspections and record results on repair orders.
- • Reset maintenance reminders and service indicators.
- • Identify and report safety or maintenance concerns to advisors/customers.
- • Maintain a clean, safe service bay and tools.
- • Properly handle, label, and dispose of used oil, filters, and fluids.
- • Stock and organize lube bay parts, fluids, and supplies.
