Description
Supervise and coordinate ramp and ground operations for aircraft turnarounds, including loading, unloading, securing, and staging of baggage and cargo. Ensure accurate weight-and-balance information, safety and regulatory compliance, proper use of equipment, and on-time performance. Liaise with flight crews, dispatch, vendors, and gate teams, and oversee staff training.
- • Oversee distribution of baggage and cargo to maximize space use and meet weight-and-balance limits.
- • Verify load weights and compartment assignments using load-control systems, charts, and computers.
- • Direct ramp crews in loading, unloading, securing, staging, and aircraft servicing activities.
- • Coordinate the quantity and placement of cargo and baggage and ensure accurate center-of-gravity inputs.
- • Communicate load status, special handling, and ground readiness with flight crew, dispatch, and gate agents.
- • Train and coach employees on safety procedures, ramp protocols, and equipment operation.
