Description
Supervise and coordinate airport cargo operations, directing ground crews in the loading, unloading, securing, and staging of air freight and baggage. Plan loads by determining cargo quantity and orientation and computing aircraft weight-and-balance. Enforce safety procedures, maintain equipment readiness, and ensure documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • • Distribute and stage cargo to maximize space and maintain weight-and-balance limits.
  • • Calculate compartment load weights and prepare weight-and-balance using charts and software.
  • • Direct ground crews in loading, unloading, securing, and staging of aircraft cargo and baggage.
  • • Determine cargo quantity, orientation, and restraint needs; verify aircraft center of gravity.
  • • Coordinate load plans and special-cargo requirements with flight operations; resolve discrepancies.
  • • Train employees on safety procedures and equipment operation; enforce compliance.
