Research public and private real estate records to trace chains of title, identify liens and encumbrances, and compile evidence for title examinations and closings. Summarize and enter pertinent legal documents and property details for use by title examiners, attorneys, lenders, and insurers.
- • Compile lists of all instruments affecting a parcel and its improvements.
- • Read search orders to determine scope, property descriptions, and involved parties.
