Description
Audition, book, and manage on-camera talent for television, film, radio, digital, and live productions, producing their participation from outreach through on-set support while aligning with creative, budget, and compliance needs.
- • Review reels, headshots, resumes, social profiles, and union status to build casting slates.
- • Analyze scripts, creative briefs, and story needs with producers to define talent specs and counts.
- • Curate shortlists and present recommendations to showrunners, directors, and executives.
- • Conduct auditions, interviews, and chemistry reads to assess fit and on-camera presence.
- • Maintain updated databases of talent, specialties, availability, and rates.
- • Prepare talent for auditions and shoots with scripts, sides, background, and compliance notes.
- • Serve as liaison among directors, producers, talent, agents, and publicists.
- • Scout live events, showcases, and digital platforms to discover emerging talent.
- • Negotiate bookings, fees, and deal terms; secure releases and union paperwork.
- • Schedule auditions, bookings, and holds; coordinate travel, call sheets, and logistics.
- • Hire, brief, and supervise casting associates, researchers, and wranglers.
- • Arrange and produce self-tapes, screen tests, and test shoots; manage casting sessions.
- • Cast background, stand-ins, photo doubles, and specialty performers as needed.
- • Oversee on-set talent wrangling, coaching, and deliverables to meet creative and legal standards.
