Description
Direct and optimize demand, supply, inventory, and capacity planning to meet service, cost, and cash targets. Lead S&OP/IBP, master scheduling, planning parameters, and scenario modeling while aligning Sales, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance and improving planning data and processes.
  • • Lead the end-to-end S&OP/IBP cycle, driving consensus demand and constrained supply plans.
  • • Build and validate statistical forecasts using historical data and market intelligence.
  • • Translate demand plans into master production schedules and material plans (MPS/MRP).
  • • Set and maintain planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, min/max, reorder points).
  • • Segment the portfolio (ABC/XYZ, lifecycle) to tailor planning and inventory policies.
  • • Define service-level targets and optimize inventory across plants and distribution centers.
  • • Conduct rough-cut and long-range capacity planning; identify bottlenecks and mitigation.
  • • Run scenario and what-if analyses for demand surges, supply disruptions, and promotions.
  • • Establish demand, supply, and executive S&OP governance calendars and workflows.
  • • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing on promotions, new product introductions, and phase-outs.
  • • Plan NPI, ECO, and phase-in/phase-out to ensure smooth transitions and minimal obsolescence.
  • • Align with Procurement on supplier capacity, lead times, and constraints; share forecasts and commits.
  • • Meet with key suppliers to review demand signals, commits, and readiness.
  • • Monitor supplier reliability and adjust buffers and planning parameters accordingly.
  • • Develop allocation, ATP/CTP, and order promising rules during constrained supply.
  • • Plan inventory positioning and replenishment across the network to balance cost and service.
  • • Model end-to-end supply chain flows to support planning decisions and customer discussions.
  • • Define and track KPIs (forecast accuracy/bias, plan adherence, OTIF, inventory turns, DOH).
  • • Monitor demand changes and quotas; adjust plans and communicate impacts.
  • • Identify and resolve supply-demand imbalances; trigger expedite, de-expedite, or reschedule actions.
  • • Maintain planning master data quality (BOMs, routings, calendars, lead times).
  • • Evaluate and implement APS/ERP planning tools, analytics, and dashboards.
  • • Document planning processes, role responsibilities, calendars, and data flows.
  • • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, parameters, and data governance.
  • • Provide volume and mix outlooks for budgeting, capacity investments, and financial forecasts.
  • • Collaborate with Logistics on DC replenishment plans and network transfer requirements.
  • • Set stocking strategies for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to reduce waste and E&O.
  • • Incorporate sustainability and regulatory considerations into planning and obsolescence management.
  • • Support supplier selection and qualification with capacity and flexibility assessments.
  • • Assess supplier and internal manufacturing capability models for planning accuracy.
  • • Develop risk registers and playbooks for shortages, substitutions, and alternate sourcing.
  • • Lead, coach, and develop the planning team; determine staffing and skill requirements.
