Description
Perform professional hair-removal treatments on the face and body using laser, IPL, electrolysis, and waxing. Assess clients, operate devices safely, document care, and educate on pre- and post-treatment for effective, long-lasting results.
  • • Sterilize equipment and sanitize treatment rooms.
  • • Keep detailed records of consultations, consents, settings, and services provided.
  • • Conduct consultations; evaluate skin type, hair characteristics, and contraindications.
  • • Perform patch tests and obtain informed consent.
  • • Select modality and parameters for laser, IPL, or electrolysis based on assessment.
  • • Prep treatment areas by cleansing, shaving, and draping as needed.
  • • Operate laser/IPL and electrolysis equipment to remove or reduce hair.
  • • Apply cooling, numbing, and protective products per protocol.
  • • Provide waxing for areas unsuitable for device-based removal.
  • • Enforce laser safety, including eye protection, signage, and controlled access.
  • • Monitor skin response during treatment and adjust technique or settings.
  • • Educate clients on pre- and post-care, sun avoidance, and hair-growth cycles.
  • • Manage discomfort with approved comfort measures and clear communication.
  • • Document outcomes and photograph treatment areas to track progress.
  • • Recognize adverse reactions; provide first aid and escalate or refer when needed.
  • • Maintain and calibrate devices; complete routine logs and quality checks.
  • • Manage inventory of disposables, aftercare products, and PPE.
  • • Schedule treatment series and follow-ups to optimize results.
  • • Collaborate with supervising clinicians or dermatology partners as required.
  • • Stay current on laser safety standards, devices, and hair-removal best practices.
