Description
Provide professional skincare treatments for the face and body to improve skin health and appearance. Perform facials, peels, hair removal, and makeup services, educate clients on home care, and collaborate with medical providers when needed.
  • • Sterilize and sanitize tools, linens, and work areas per state standards.
  • • Conduct client consultations and skin analyses using magnification or diagnostic lamps.
  • • Maintain detailed client records, consents, and treatment plans.
  • • Cleanse skin and remove makeup before treatments.
  • • Perform facials, including exfoliation, steaming, masks, and facial massage.
  • • Perform simple extractions safely and hygienically.
  • • Apply chemical peels to address fine lines, discoloration, and texture per protocol.
  • • Select and apply professional products suited to skin type and concerns.
  • • Recommend personalized home-care regimens and demonstrate proper skincare techniques.
  • • Remove facial and body hair using wax or other approved methods.
  • • Tint eyelashes and eyebrows and shape brows.
  • • Provide body treatments or limited body massage as permitted by licensure.
  • • Advise on makeup colors and techniques and provide makeup applications.
  • • Sell skincare and cosmetic products to support treatment outcomes.
  • • Identify conditions that require medical evaluation and refer to appropriate clinicians.
  • • Collaborate with dermatologists or plastic surgeons on pre- and postoperative skin care when applicable.
  • • Monitor skin responses and adjust treatments to ensure safety and efficacy.
  • • Stay current on industry trends, products, ingredients, technologies, and regulations.
