Description
Verify, document, and coordinate the flow of goods through a distribution center. Record inbound and outbound orders, prepare and route shipments, arrange transportation, and maintain accurate inventory and schedules.
- • Prepare pick tickets, work orders, bills of lading, and shipping labels to route orders.
- • Record shipment and receipt data, including weights, counts, charges, damages, and discrepancies, for reporting and audit.
- • Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers and communicate shipping instructions.
- • Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve shortages, damages, or nonconforming items.
- • Replenish and organize packing and shipping supplies to maintain stock levels.
- • Calculate freight, storage, and accessorial charges using warehouse or transportation management systems.
- • Compare carrier options, consolidation, or routing to reduce cost and environmental impact.
- • Inspect inbound and outbound orders against manifests, invoices, or pick lists to verify accuracy.
- • Pack, palletize, wrap, and label orders using hand or power tools and print or apply shipping labels.
- • Stage and route goods to dock doors or departments using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or conveyors.
- • Select shipping methods, service levels, and routing based on order requirements and rates.
