Description
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum services; diagnose, treat, and prevent disorders of the female reproductive system; perform deliveries and gynecologic surgeries; and offer preventive, contraceptive, and menopausal care.
- • Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for pregnant patients.
- • Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries and manage obstetric emergencies.
- • Diagnose and treat disorders of the female reproductive system.
- • Perform gynecologic surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures.
- • Conduct well-woman exams, Pap/HPV screening, and breast exams.
- • Counsel on contraception, family planning, and preconception care.
- • Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans based on progress and results.
- • Order, interpret, and explain laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostics.
- • Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and vaccinations.
- • Screen for and treat sexually transmitted infections and manage menopause-related concerns.
- • Collect, document, and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR.
- • Refer to or collaborate with subspecialists such as MFM, REI, or gynecologic oncology as needed.
- • Consult with other physicians and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- • Lead and supervise nurses, residents, and other clinical staff.
- • Educate patients and communities on nutrition, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention; participate in quality improvement, reporting, and research as applicable.
