Description
Oversee planning and delivery of nuclear engineering projects, coordinating scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk while ensuring nuclear safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship across design, construction, operations support, and decommissioning.
  • • Lead project initiation, scope definition, and WBS development for nuclear projects.
  • • Build and manage integrated schedules and budgets using earned value metrics.
  • • Oversee contractor and vendor performance for design, procurement, and construction.
  • • Coordinate design reviews to ensure technical adequacy, QA, and regulatory compliance.
  • • Manage licensing, permitting, and submittals to NRC, DOE, and state agencies.
  • • Plan and oversee testing, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
  • • Direct outage and modification projects to meet safety, cost, and schedule goals.
  • • Monitor operations interfaces to identify risks and noncompliance; drive resolutions.
  • • Lead risk management, including hazard analyses, ALARA planning, and mitigation.
  • • Conduct incident and lessons-learned reviews; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • • Develop and maintain project execution plans, procedures, and configuration control.
  • • Prepare status reports, forecasts, and decision briefs for executives and regulators.
  • • Manage environmental assessments, EIS development, and compliance monitoring.
  • • Lead waste management and decommissioning or remediation project planning.
  • • Coordinate test campaigns and performance improvement initiatives with engineering.
  • • Administer contracts, change control, and claims; negotiate with suppliers and EPCs.
  • • Engage stakeholders, community, and review boards; present project proposals and updates.
  • • Ensure training, qualifications, and readiness of project teams and craft.
  • • Maintain awareness of nuclear industry developments and integrate best practices.
  • • Plan and execute emergency preparedness drills and support event response per procedures.
