Description
Manage nuclear facility licensing and regulatory compliance by maintaining the licensing basis, preparing NRC and state submittals, interpreting 10 CFR requirements, and supporting design changes, operations, and environmental reviews.
  • • Monitor operations and modifications for compliance with the license, Technical Specifications, and regulations.
  • • Develop licensing strategies and schedules for projects, uprates, and new systems.
  • • Prepare safety evaluations, regulatory analyses, and marked-up TS/FSAR pages.
  • • Coordinate responses to NRC Requests for Additional Information and audits.
  • • Lead or support NRC and state inspections, meetings, and public hearings.
  • • Track and manage regulatory commitments, docketing, and correspondence.
  • • Interpret regulations and guidance; provide regulatory advice to engineering and operations.
  • • Review vendor and engineering deliverables for licensing impacts and compliance.
  • • Support environmental licensing under NEPA, including ER/EIS inputs and effluent/REMP reports.
  • • Manage Part 72 ISFSI and dry fuel storage licensing and CoC compliance.
  • • Support spent fuel transport and disposal licensing interfaces as needed.
  • • Contribute to decommissioning, radiological remediation, or emergency plan licensing changes.
  • • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes; implement program and document updates.
  • • Develop and deliver training on licensing processes, reportability, and 50.59/72.48.
  • • Interface with QA and corrective action programs to resolve licensing basis issues.
  • • Prepare concise technical reports, meeting minutes, and presentations for regulators and stakeholders.
  • • Prepare and submit license applications, amendments, relief requests, and exemptions to NRC/Agreement States.
  • • Maintain the plant licensing basis, including UFSAR/FSAR, Technical Specifications, and Bases.
  • • Perform and approve 10 CFR 50.59 and 72.48 screenings and evaluations for design and procedure changes.
  • • Evaluate events for reportability; prepare 10 CFR 50.72/50.73 notifications and LERs.
