Description
Collect, fuse, and analyze intelligence from law-enforcement, intelligence community, open-source, and technical sensors to detect, assess, and disrupt terrorist threats. Apply geospatial and data-analytic tools to support threat prevention, targeting, and protective operations.
  • • Forecast terrorist activity and threat indicators using multi-source intelligence analysis.
  • • Study terrorist organizations, networks, financing, recruitment, travel, and logistics.
  • • Design, use, and maintain databases and analytic tools, including GIS and AI applications.
  • • Build threat profiles for terrorist groups, cells, facilitators, and lone actors.
  • • Analyze lawfully obtained communications records to map terrorist networks and locations.
  • • Exploit imagery, radar, and signals reporting to identify sites, movements, or attack preparation.
  • • Collect and validate terrorism-related information from field reporting, HUMINT sources, and public records.
  • • Fuse data from law-enforcement and intelligence databases to produce actionable threat assessments.
  • • Conduct link, geospatial, and timeline analysis to associate suspects, events, and resources with plots.
  • • Task and exploit surveillance collection to document pre-attack behaviors and communications.
  • • Prepare clear reports, briefings, maps, and charts summarizing counterterrorism analysis.
  • • Develop collection requirements and plans to intercept terrorist communications with SIGINT partners.
  • • Analyze financial records to trace terrorist funding, facilitators, and illicit transfers.
  • • Corroborate existing intelligence with independent sources to validate assessments.
  • • Collaborate with federal, state, local, and international partners to share counterterrorism intelligence.
  • • Inform protective security measures, targeting, and operational planning with threat intelligence.
  • • Conduct interviews and debriefs of sources or witnesses to collect counterterrorism HUMINT.
  • • Translate and analyze coded or foreign-language material related to terrorist activity.
  • • Identify patterns, TTPs, and trends in radicalization, mobilization, and attack methods.
  • • Deliver briefings on analytic findings to leadership and operational teams.
  • • Identify intelligence gaps and produce collection or research plans to close them.
