Description
Advise clients and place life, property, casualty, health, auto, and specialty insurance with multiple carriers. Represent client interests, compare markets, negotiate coverage terms, and coordinate policy placement, service, claims support, and renewals.
  • • Meet with clients to deliver and explain policies, assess coverage, and recommend changes or beneficiary updates.
  • • Obtain and compare quotes across carriers, explain rating, and set up billing and payment options.
  • • Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients or businesses, covering varied risks.
  • • Place life, property, casualty, health, auto, and specialty policies with multiple insurers on clients’ behalf.
  • • Interview prospects to gather risk, financial, and coverage data and review any existing policies.
  • • Prospect and build a book of business through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
  • • Explain features, advantages, limitations, and exclusions of policy options to support informed decisions.
  • • Prepare market submissions and negotiate with underwriters to secure terms, quotes, and binders.
  • • Ensure underwriting and policy requirements are completed, including applications, exams, and forms.
  • • Provide claims advocacy, coordinating with clients and carriers to initiate and manage claims.
  • • Maintain records, handle endorsements and renewals, and manage compliance documentation.
  • • Analyze markets and recommend carriers that best match client needs, risk, and budget.
  • • Track claim status and outcomes to help ensure timely, equitable settlements.
  • • Develop and execute marketing plans to differentiate services and generate leads.
  • • Attend carrier meetings, industry seminars, and continuing education to stay current on products and regulations.
  • • Conduct preliminary risk surveys or site visits to evaluate property condition and exposures.
  • • Maintain agency management and CRM systems; ensure data accuracy and resolve issues.
  • • Help clients align insurance billing and reporting with their accounting processes.
  • • Explain billing, enrollment, and regulatory requirements for group benefits and commercial programs.
