Description
Advise clients on insurance coverage, sell personal and commercial policies, and service accounts throughout the policy lifecycle. May represent one or multiple carriers and work independently, for an agency, or for an insurance company.
  • • Prospect and build a pipeline through networking, referrals, and outreach.
  • • Interview clients to assess risks, coverage needs, and existing policies.
  • • Recommend and sell personal and commercial insurance products.
  • • Customize coverage options and limits to fit client needs and budgets.
  • • Explain policy features, benefits, exclusions, and costs.
  • • Prepare quotes, calculate premiums, and set up billing and payment schedules.
  • • Collect applications and required documentation; ensure completeness.
  • • Liaise with underwriters; submit applications and request binders.
  • • Deliver policies, review terms with clients, and process changes or endorsements.
  • • Ensure underwriting and policy requirements are met, including inspections or medical exams when needed.
  • • Monitor renewals; review accounts and remarket coverage when appropriate.
  • • Assist with claims by gathering information and coordinating with carriers.
  • • Maintain accurate client records, CRM notes, and regulatory documentation.
  • • Monitor claim outcomes and advocate for fair resolution within carrier guidelines.
  • • Develop marketing strategies and campaigns to grow the book of business.
  • • Attend trainings and industry meetings to stay current on products and regulations.
