Description
Conduct on-site automobile damage appraisals to determine repair costs and support insurance claim settlement. Prepare and submit field estimates and recommendations, capture documentation, and secure repair cost agreements with repair facilities.
- • Inspect damaged vehicles in the field (accident scene, tow yard, or customer location) to assess structural, body, mechanical, electrical, and interior damage.
- • Estimate parts and labor on-site using estimating software, labor guides, and repair expertise.
- • Review and discuss estimates with repair facilities in person to secure agreement on repair costs.
- • Assess repair feasibility versus total loss and recommend the appropriate settlement approach.
- • Determine and document salvage value for total-loss vehicles.
- • Capture photos, notes, and measurements; complete and submit required claim forms, estimates, and recommendations from the field.
- • Coordinate re-inspections or second appraisals to resolve disputes with shops or claimants.
