Description
Assess collision damage and prepare accurate repair estimates for body shop customers and insurers. Use estimating software and OEM procedures, document findings, and coordinate approvals, supplements, and repair scheduling with technicians, parts, and insurance representatives.
- • Inspect damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, and interior damage.
- • Generate detailed parts and labor estimates using CCC/Mitchell/Audatex and OEM repair procedures.
- • Review estimates with customers and insurance carriers to secure repair authorization.
- • Capture photos and documentation; submit estimates and supplements through insurer portals.
- • Evaluate repairability and flag potential total-loss cases for insurer determination.
- • Coordinate teardown/blueprint, write and negotiate supplements, and update parts orders and schedules.
- • Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to ensure accurate repairs and reconcile final invoices.
