Description
Plan, coordinate, and manage software releases across development, testing, and production environments. Lead and guide cross-functional teams through release planning, build, validation, and deployment. Serve as liaison between product, engineering, operations, security, and business to align scope, risks, and timing. Build release calendars and assess business impacts for each release. Monitor readiness and execution to meet windows, quality standards, compliance, and cost targets.
- • Perform release risk assessments and define mitigation, rollback, and contingency plans.
- • Publish release packages and notes, ensuring adherence to quality gates and compliance.
- • Track team readiness and process adherence; document lessons learned and improvements.
- • Collaborate with developers, QA, and operations to identify and resolve release blockers.
- • Prioritize and sequence releases based on customer impact, business value, and dependencies.
- • Schedule and facilitate release planning, CAB, go/no-go, and postmortem meetings.
- • Direct cross-functional activities during cutover using defined runbooks and checklists.
- • Track release milestones, code freezes, approvals, and deployment deliverables.

- • Coordinate assignment of release coordinators, change owners, and approvers.
