Design, build, maintain, and use GIS databases and applications to support analysis, mapping, and decision-making. Provide advanced spatial analysis, cartography, and user support; develop custom tools and workflows; and ensure data quality, standards, and integration with related systems.
- • Produce and deliver data layers, maps, tables, and reports using GIS and spatial analysis.
- • Design high-quality cartographic and graphic representations using GIS software.
- • Maintain, optimize, and update GIS databases.
- • Provide GIS technical leadership and consultation to stakeholders.
- • Develop and maintain GIS scripts, tools, and applications; perform data analysis.
- • Acquire and enter spatial and tabular data via coordinate geometry (COGO), digitizing, scanning, and data conversion.
- • Validate incoming data for accuracy, currency, completeness, and documentation.
- • Build datasets and perform advanced geospatial modeling and analysis.

- • Collect, compile, and integrate GIS data, including remote sensing and cartographic sources.
- • Interpret aerial and orthophotography.
- • Meet with clients to capture requirements, propose solutions, and resolve issues.
- • Design, document, code, and test GIS models and web mapping solutions.
- • Create, analyze, convert, and transfer data using specialized GIS software.
- • Analyze, configure, and troubleshoot GIS applications with users.
- • Design and program GIS applications, tools, and procedures.
- • Develop custom routines, web GIS databases, and business applications to tailor geographic information.
- • Recommend upgrades and evaluate impacts of new GIS software, equipment, or applications.
- • Assist users in defining GIS requirements and evaluating solution alternatives.
- • Create advanced visualizations, including analytical models, 3D renderings, and plots.
- • Develop and maintain metadata, schemas, and data standards.
- • Develop training materials and deliver presentations to GIS users.
- • Apply 3D/4D technologies to enable new analyses and applications.
- • Conduct research, data analysis, systems design, and support for GIS and GPS software.
- • Stay current with GIS technologies through literature, training, and professional engagement.
- • Recommend procedures and tools to improve data accessibility and usability.
