Collect, verify, and maintain geospatial data in the field using GPS/GNSS, mobile GIS, and remote sensing. Update GIS databases, produce field maps and reports, configure mobile workflows, and support crews with equipment, troubleshooting, and data quality, while following documentation and safety standards.
- • Plan and conduct field data collection using GPS/GNSS and mobile GIS.
- • Produce field-ready maps, layers, tables, and reports from collected data.
- • Configure mobile forms, domains, and offline map areas for field crews.
- • Maintain and update enterprise GIS databases with field-collected features.
- • Perform QA/QC on field data for accuracy, completeness, and metadata.
- • Provide technical GIS/GPS support to field users and project teams.
- • Post-process GNSS data (e.g., differential/RTK) and load results to GIS.
- • Geotag, catalog, and link field photos and documents to features.

- • Coordinate field logistics, access permissions, and safety plans with leads.
- • Meet with stakeholders to confirm specifications and resolve operational issues.
- • Develop simple scripts or tools to automate data processing and reports.
- • Recommend hardware, software, or workflow upgrades for field collection.
- • Create 3D surfaces or visualizations to aid field planning and analysis.
- • Prepare and deliver brief trainings and job aids for field applications.
- • Inspect, calibrate, and maintain GPS, radios, tablets, and survey gear.
- • Compile and integrate GPS, UAV, sensor, and paper data into GIS.
- • Publish and maintain web maps and feature services for field use.
- • Enter attribute data and notes accurately during and after surveys.
- • Review incoming datasets for currency, usefulness, and documentation quality.
- • Keep current on GIS/GNSS techniques through training and professional reading.
