Description
Plant Nursery Workers propagate, grow, and prepare ornamental and landscape plants in greenhouse and outdoor nursery environments. They plant, pot, label, water, fertilize, prune, and monitor plant health using hand tools and basic equipment. Duties include mixing media, spacing and moving stock, scouting and treating pests and diseases, maintaining irrigation and climate controls, and cleaning, grading, and packing orders for shipment or sale. May assemble trellises, repair benches and irrigation lines, and assist with inventory and customer service.
