Description
Plan, implement, and monitor programs that protect employees, the public, and the environment by identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace safety and environmental hazards. Apply scientific and regulatory knowledge to collect, analyze, and report EHS data from air, water, waste, chemicals, and work practices, and recommend and drive corrective actions. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and related requirements through audits, training, permits, and incident prevention and response.
  • • Conduct EHS audits and workplace inspections to identify hazards and compliance gaps.
  • • Evaluate findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions with owners and timelines.
  • • Review and implement OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and company EHS standards and policies.
  • • Advise leaders on compliance strategies, risk reduction, and EHS management systems.
  • • Analyze incident, exposure, and compliance data to identify trends and prioritize controls.
  • • Determine industrial hygiene sampling strategies and other data collection methods.
  • • Prepare dashboards, charts, and reports, and track KPIs and corrective action closure.
  • • Prepare technical portions of permits, plans, and regulatory filings such as SPCC or SWPPP.
  • • Investigate and report injuries, near misses, spills, and other EHS incidents.
  • • Monitor environmental aspects of operations, including emissions, wastewater, and waste.
  • • Develop waste minimization, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
  • • Identify sources of workplace exposure and implement engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.
  • • Monitor noise, air contaminants, heat stress, and ergonomic risks and recommend mitigation.
  • • Support management of change and pre-startup safety reviews to minimize EHS impacts.
  • • Manage chemical approvals, SDS inventories, GHS labeling, and hazard communication.
  • • Collect, manage, and report EHS data, including air and water samples and waste profiles.
  • • Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, and briefings to employees and contractors.
  • • Provide technical guidance and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and regulators.
  • • Prepare, submit, and maintain environmental permits, records, and hazardous waste manifests.
  • • Train and mentor EHS staff and lead safety committees.
  • • Plan and conduct emergency preparedness, spill response planning, and drills.
  • • Lead exposure assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety studies.
