Lead and manage the daily operations of a childcare center, overseeing curriculum, staffing, budgets, enrollment, family engagement, and compliance with licensing, health, and safety requirements, including before- and after-school care.
  • • Partner with families and staff to address child development, behavior, and program policies.
  • • Maintain and audit attendance, incident, licensing, payroll, and financial records; prepare required reports.
  • • Establish program vision, educational standards, and operating policies and procedures.
  • • Observe classrooms, track child outcomes, and coach teachers to resolve learning or behavioral challenges.
  • • Develop and manage budgets; allocate funds and approve purchases for materials, equipment, and facilities.
  • • Recruit, hire, onboard, schedule, supervise, and evaluate teaching and support staff.
  • • Direct daily center operations and coordinate activities across classrooms and programs.
  • • Oversee curriculum implementation, lesson planning, and assessment practices.
  • • Ensure compliance with licensing, health, safety, sanitation, and child protection regulations; implement emergency procedures.
  • • Plan program offerings, schedules, and staffing to meet enrollment targets and ratio requirements.
  • • Conduct program reviews; use data to improve quality and ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.
  • • Provide classroom coverage and direct care to children as needed.
  • • Develop tuition schedules, manage subsidies, and prepare budget requests or grant proposals.
  • • Create handbooks, policies, and family communications; support marketing and outreach.
  • • Analyze enrollment trends and community needs to inform capacity, staffing, and curriculum decisions.
  • • Build partnerships with schools, agencies, and community groups to expand services and resources.
  • • Lead committees or staff teams to drive quality improvement and family engagement initiatives.
