Description
Lead and manage the daily operations of a childcare center, overseeing curriculum, staffing, budgets, enrollment, family engagement, and compliance with licensing, health, and safety requirements, including before- and after-school care.
- • Partner with families and staff to address child development, behavior, and program policies.
- • Maintain and audit attendance, incident, licensing, payroll, and financial records; prepare required reports.
- • Establish program vision, educational standards, and operating policies and procedures.
- • Observe classrooms, track child outcomes, and coach teachers to resolve learning or behavioral challenges.
- • Develop and manage budgets; allocate funds and approve purchases for materials, equipment, and facilities.
- • Recruit, hire, onboard, schedule, supervise, and evaluate teaching and support staff.

- • Provide classroom coverage and direct care to children as needed.
- • Develop tuition schedules, manage subsidies, and prepare budget requests or grant proposals.
- • Create handbooks, policies, and family communications; support marketing and outreach.
- • Analyze enrollment trends and community needs to inform capacity, staffing, and curriculum decisions.
- • Build partnerships with schools, agencies, and community groups to expand services and resources.
- • Lead committees or staff teams to drive quality improvement and family engagement initiatives.
