Description
Lead and optimize dredging operations, applying engineering oversight to equipment setup, system performance, and safety to efficiently remove sediments and maintain navigable waterways.
  • • Configure and calibrate dredge pumps, cutterheads, suction booms, and control systems for planned cuts.
  • • Monitor flow, density, vacuum, and RPM data; adjust settings to optimize production and reduce wear.
  • • Plan and direct winch, anchor, and spud moves using GPS and bathymetric surveys to hold line and grade.
  • • Oversee engine, hydraulic, and electrical systems; schedule and supervise preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • • Troubleshoot cavitation, blockages, and leaks; execute pipeline flushing and dewatering to restore flow.
  • • Verify depths and quantities against survey and permit requirements; maintain logs and coordinate with crew and inspectors.
