Description
Adjudicate applications and petitions for immigration benefits by interviewing applicants, verifying documentation and background checks, detecting fraud, and issuing decisions in accordance with U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and agency policies.
  • • Review and adjudicate applications and petitions for immigration benefits (naturalization, adjustment, work authorization, travel documents).
  • • Interview applicants and petitioners to assess eligibility and credibility; administer oaths.
  • • Examine identity, civil, and supporting documents and verify information through databases and checks.
  • • Initiate and analyze biometrics, security, and background screenings.
  • • Identify and document fraud indicators; refer cases to FDNS, ICE, or law enforcement as appropriate.
  • • Draft and issue approvals, denials, RFEs, NOIDs, and revocation or rescission recommendations.
  • • Explain immigration laws, procedures, and case requirements to applicants, attorneys, and stakeholders.
  • • Maintain accurate case notes, files, and decisions in electronic case management systems; prepare reports.
  • • Coordinate with other federal, state, and local agencies on public safety or national security matters.
  • • Prepare records for appeals and administrative review; provide testimony or sworn statements when required.
  • • Evaluate fee waiver requests and process motions and appeals in accordance with policy.
