Description
Prepare, season, and cook salads, soups, meats, seafood, vegetables, desserts, and other foods according to recipes and station standards. Set up and stock workstations, verify food quality and safety, and assist with receiving, storage, and routine records.
  • • Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to meet standards.
  • • Follow and maintain sanitation and food safety practices.
  • • Assist in checking the quantity and quality of received products.
  • • Report shortages and help requisition food and supplies.
  • • Coordinate with team members during prep and service.
  • • Inspect equipment and work areas for cleanliness and safety.
  • • Plate dishes according to presentation standards.
  • • Assist in training new staff on station procedures.
  • • Prepare required mise en place and estimate station quantities.
  • • Provide feedback to chefs on recipes and prep methods.
  • • Adhere to portion control and minimize waste to meet cost targets.
  • • Prepare and cook a variety of foods for regular service and special events.
  • • Follow production schedules and ticket times to ensure timely service.
  • • Set up, stock, and break down assigned stations.
  • • Follow directions for guest dietary needs and special requests.
  • • Learn and apply new cooking techniques and equipment.
  • • Communicate product quality or availability issues to supervisors.
  • • Report equipment malfunctions and assist with routine cleaning.
  • • Complete required logs for temperatures, prep, and waste.
  • • Rotate and store ingredients using FIFO and labeling procedures.
