Description
Execute post-trade processing to ensure timely, accurate settlement of securities transactions. Responsibilities include trade matching and confirmation, coordinating delivery and receipt of securities and cash, calculating fees and taxes, resolving exceptions and settlement fails, processing income events, and maintaining compliant records and reports.
- • Match, confirm, and affirm trades with brokers, custodians, and counterparties.
- • Schedule and coordinate delivery and receipt of securities and cash per settlement instructions and cutoffs.
- • Prepare and transmit settlement, wire, and custody instructions and confirmations based on trade activity.
- • Use settlement platforms and office systems to enter, update, and track post-trade data.
- • Monitor pending trades, fails, and buy-ins and escalate to resolve breaks and delays.
- • Calculate and post transfer taxes, fees, interest, dividends, and commissions to accounts.
- • Produce daily settlement, position, and cash reconciliation reports for client and firm accounts.
- • Verify trade details, standing instructions, eligibility, and compliance with regulations against records and alerts.
- • Record and reconcile purchases, sales, conversions, redemptions, and corporate actions across ledgers and custody records.
- • Perform clerical support tasks, such as answering phones, distributing mail, and maintaining documents.
