Description
Compile, verify, and distribute real-time and end-of-day security price quotations. Update electronic and physical price boards, track market movements, resolve quote discrepancies, and maintain accurate records and reports for brokers, traders, and customers.
- • Respond to customer and coworker inquiries with current quotes, market data, and price explanations.
- • Coordinate the timely distribution of quote updates across terminals, displays, and data feeds.
- • Prepare and update quote sheets, price lists, and market bulletins for brokers and clients.
- • Operate quotation terminals, data feeds, spreadsheets, and standard office equipment.
- • Monitor intraday and daily prices; compute price changes, percent change, highs/lows, and spreads.
- • Calculate opening/closing prices, averages, and other quote statistics used in reports.
- • Compile daily summaries of price movements, volumes, and notable market events.
- • Verify pricing data against multiple sources and exchange rules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- • Record, correct, and archive quotations, ticks, and adjustments in databases for audit trails.
- • Provide clerical support, including answering phones and distributing market bulletins and reports.
