Description
Perform duties related to the purchase, sale, and holding of securities. Responsibilities include entering trade orders, computing transfer taxes and fees, verifying transactions, processing deliveries, monitoring price fluctuations and equity, distributing dividends, and maintaining daily records and account holdings.
- • Correspond with clients and coordinate with coworkers to answer inquiries, discuss market changes, and resolve account issues.
- • Schedule and coordinate the transfer and delivery of securities between firms, departments, and clients.
- • Prepare transaction documents, including receipts, withdrawal orders, transmittals, and transfer confirmations, based on client requests.
- • Perform routine office tasks such as filing, typing, and operating standard office equipment.
- • Monitor daily security prices and compute fluctuations to assess collateral needs for margin or secured loans.
- • Compute holdings, dividends, interest, transfer taxes, fees, and commissions, and allocate payments to client accounts.
- • Prepare reports summarizing daily transactions, balances, and earnings for individual accounts.
- • Verify ownership, transaction details, and dividend instructions for regulatory compliance using records and reports.
- • Record security transactions, including purchases, sales, conversions, redemptions, and payments, using systems and ledgers.
- • Handle clerical tasks, including answering phones and distributing mail.
