Description
Support bakery production and retail by preparing, baking, packaging, and merchandising breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, pies, and other baked goods.
- • Measure and prepare ingredients for batters, doughs, fillings, and icings.
- • Set oven temperatures and timers; load and unload racks as directed.
- • Monitor color and doneness; adjust settings or notify baker.
- • Mix, roll, cut, and shape dough according to formulas.
- • Pan, mold, or sheet products for proofing and baking.
- • Apply glazes, icings, and toppings; perform basic decorating.
- • Package, slice, and label baked goods.
- • Stock and rotate products in cases using FIFO.
- • Set up and maintain product displays and signage.
- • Check quality of raw materials and finished goods; remove expired items.
- • Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas; follow food safety standards.
- • Operate mixing, wrapping, and slicing machines safely.
- • Maintain production, temperature, and waste logs.
- • Assist with scaling recipes to meet production needs.
- • Receive, date, and store deliveries; organize supplies.
- • Take custom orders and assist customers at the counter.
- • Coordinate bakery pickups and deliveries as needed.
- • Report equipment issues; perform light maintenance and calibration.
- • Help test new items and seasonal offerings.
