Description
Provide voice performances for animation, video games, commercials, audiobooks, dubbing, podcasts, and e-learning. Interpret characters and narration through vocal delivery, timing, and style to entertain, inform, or instruct audiences. Record in studios or home booths and may sing.
  • • Study scripts and rehearse to interpret roles, learn and memorize lines, cues, and timing.
  • • Work with directors, producers, writers, and audio engineers to refine performance.
  • • Research characters and relationships to develop distinct vocal interpretations.
  • • Collaborate with ensemble casts for scenes, group reads, or interactive dialogue.
  • • Convey emotion and intent using voice, pacing, pitch, and articulation.
  • • Attend in-person or remote auditions and casting sessions; submit voice demos.
  • • Perform roles and narration for animation, games, commercials, audiobooks, e-learning, radio, and film.
  • • Coordinate with engineers on microphone technique, levels, and session logistics.
  • • Sing when required for character songs, jingles, or musical segments.
  • • Read and narrate scripts or books, often with minimal visual cues or props.
  • • Promote projects through interviews, panels, or social media.
  • • Write or adapt copy, character backstories, ad-lib lines, or narration when needed.
  • • Perform ADR, looping, and dubbing to match lip sync, timing, and emotion.
  • • Self-record in a home studio; edit, name, and deliver broadcast-quality audio files.
  • • Maintain vocal health; warm up and practice dialects and vocal styles.
  • • Take direction and provide multiple takes, pickups, and alternate reads.
