Description
Perform choreographed stunts for film, television, stage, and video productions, safely executing action sequences and doubling for actors. Interpret action beats through movement and timing, collaborating with stunt coordinators and directors; may perform fights, falls, precision driving, wire, water, or fire work.
  • • Study stunt briefs, storyboards, and scripts to understand action beats, hazards, and continuity.
  • • Rehearse and memorize fight choreography, falls, gags, and cues under direction.
  • • Collaborate with stunt coordinators, fight choreographers, directors, and actors to plan and execute sequences.
  • • Perform high falls, stair falls, and breakaway impacts using proper techniques.
  • • Execute unarmed and weapon-based fights with precise timing and reactions.
  • • Perform precision driving, riding, and drifting stunts as required.
  • • Work with riggers to perform wire work, descenders, ratchets, and controlled pulls.
  • • Perform water and fire stunts, following specialized safety protocols and using protective gear.
  • • Use pads, harnesses, breakaways, and PPE; participate in safety meetings and risk assessments.
  • • Coordinate with camera, SFX, VFX, and sound teams for blocking, marks, and continuity.
  • • Double for principal actors, matching movement, silhouette, and wardrobe requirements.
  • • Attend auditions and stunt casting calls; submit and update demo reels and resumes.
  • • Maintain peak physical conditioning and specialty skills; keep certifications current (e.g., driving, scuba, firearms, first aid).
  • • Inspect and maintain stunt equipment and report hazards or incidents.
  • • Adapt performances to different surfaces, weather, and locations; repeat takes consistently.
  • • Assist with previsualization and action testing; provide notes to improve safety and realism.
