Description
Portray characters for stage, film, television, radio, or digital productions. Interpret roles through speech, gesture, and movement to entertain, inform, or instruct audiences; may also sing or dance.
  • • Study scripts and rehearse roles; learn and memorize lines, blocking, stunts, and cues as directed.
  • • Work closely with directors, other actors, and writers to shape the role and performance.
  • • Research characters and their relationships to develop authentic interpretations.
  • • Collaborate with other actors as part of an ensemble.
  • • Perform comedic and dramatic emotions, actions, and situations using body language, facial expressions, and gestures.
  • • Attend auditions and casting calls; prepare sides and self-tapes as needed.
  • • Portray roles for radio, film, television, stage, or digital audiences using voice and movement.
  • • Coordinate with lighting, costume, makeup, sound, and prop departments.
  • • Sing or dance when required by the production.
  • • Read from scripts to narrate action or provide voiceovers for audio or on-camera projects.
  • • Promote productions through interviews and press appearances.
  • • Prepare and perform basic action sequences safely; collaborate with stunt coordinators.
  • • Participate in table reads and blocking rehearsals; adjust performance based on direction.
  • • Maintain continuity and character consistency across scenes and takes.
