Description
Maintain and analyze accounting records to prepare and reconcile financial statements, support month-end close, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Process transactions, maintain the general ledger, and assist with audits, budgets, taxes, and system improvements.
- • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, deferrals, reclasses, and corrections.
- • Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper account coding.
- • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
- • Reconcile bank accounts and cash balances.
- • Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports for accuracy and completeness.
- • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to meet deadlines.

- • Identify process or control gaps and recommend improvements.
- • Compile audit documentation and respond to internal and external auditor requests.
- • Assist with tax compliance by preparing supporting schedules for sales/use, property, or income taxes.
- • Reconcile payroll-related accounts and record payroll journal entries.
- • Assist in budgeting and forecasting; prepare variance and trend analyses.
- • Partner with departments to gather information and explain accounting impacts.
- • Maintain the chart of accounts and update master data as needed.
- • Ensure transactions conform to company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- • Prepare cash flow schedules and support treasury activities.
- • Perform intercompany billing, eliminations, and reconciliations.
- • Participate in system implementations or upgrades; test and validate accounting results.
- • Develop and maintain documentation for accounting procedures and close checklists.
- • Monitor compliance with GAAP and assist with policy adoption for new standards.
- • Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports to support business decisions.
