Description
Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules, maintain the general ledger, and ensure accurate, timely reporting in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Implement and improve accounting processes and controls, record costs and budgetary data, and advise management on financial results.
- • Prepare, examine, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and GAAP/IFRS compliance.
- • Manage month-end and year-end close, including accruals, deferrals, and adjusting journal entries.
- • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, subledgers, and bank accounts.
- • Review accounts for discrepancies and resolve variances through timely reconciliations.
- • Establish and maintain the chart of accounts and ensure proper account coding.
- • Analyze revenues, costs, margins, and operating trends; explain variances to management.
- • Prepare supporting schedules, workpapers, and rollforwards for audits and reviews.
- • Coordinate with external auditors and respond to audit requests and inquiries.
- • Ensure proper revenue recognition, expense matching, and cutoff.
- • Monitor and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and data integrity.
- • Develop, implement, modify, and document accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
- • Process, review, and post journal entries, allocations, and reclasses.
- • Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment runs for proper coding and compliance.
- • Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, impairments, and disposals.
- • Verify and reconcile inventory balances and cost of goods sold entries.
- • Prepare cash flow statements and perform cash, liquidity, and bank reconciliation analyses.
- • Reconcile intercompany transactions and prepare eliminations and consolidations as needed.
- • Support budgeting and forecasting; prepare reports comparing actuals to budget and prior periods.
- • Prepare management reports and dashboards on financial performance and key metrics.
- • Maintain tax-related accruals and support preparation of indirect and income tax schedules.
- • Review contracts and transactions for accounting implications and compliance with standards.
- • Assist with ERP and finance system implementations, integrations, and upgrades.
- • Conduct pre- and post-implementation testing to ensure systems work as planned and data is accurate.
- • Document and maintain SOX/ICFR compliance evidence where applicable.
- • Compute and record payroll, benefits, and related liabilities; reconcile payroll accounts.
- • Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements in accordance with policy and controls.
- • Prepare, analyze, and verify annual reports and disclosures to facilitate financial planning and external reporting.
- • Collaborate with AP, AR, FP&A, and operations to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- • Report to management regarding financial position, cash needs, and process improvement opportunities.
