Plan and evaluate transportation systems and projects. Collect and analyze data, prepare studies, and develop models or simulations to inform design, policy, and investment decisions.
  • • Prepare or review engineering studies, plans, or specifications.
  • • Represent the agency in legislative or administrative approvals for land development projects.
  • • Direct or coordinate urban traffic counting programs.
  • • Develop or test new transportation analysis methods or models.
  • • Define or update urban boundaries and roadway classifications.

  • • Plan concepts for new or improved infrastructure such as intersections, pedestrian facilities, transit hubs, or parking lots.
  • • Evaluate project needs, benefits, and costs.

  • • Evaluate transportation implications of federal or state legislative proposals.
