Analyze transportation systems and proposed projects using data, models, and simulations; prepare technical studies, evaluate performance and impacts, and support planning, policy, and investment decisions.
  • • Compile, clean, and analyze multimodal transportation data.
  • • Prepare and review technical analyses for transportation studies.
  • • Develop, calibrate, and validate travel demand and microsimulation models.
  • • Design and manage traffic counts and other data collection programs.
  • • Build and maintain GIS datasets, roadway classifications, and boundaries.
  • • Interpret results from traffic models, GIS, and related databases.
  • • Conduct transportation impact analyses for development proposals.
  • • Prepare data-driven recommendations for system improvements and projects.
  • • Evaluate project needs, costs, and benefits using quantitative methods.
  • • Produce technical reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • • Contribute analytic sections to environmental assessments and impact statements.
  • • Support permit and approval packages with required analyses and documentation.
  • • Test and document new methods or models of transportation analysis.
  • • Analyze policy, land use, and long-range planning scenarios and their impacts.
  • • Collaborate with engineers and planners to resolve complex design or operational issues.
  • • Design and analyze surveys to capture user behavior and public concerns.
  • • Participate in stakeholder and public meetings to present findings.
  • • Monitor system performance metrics and develop performance dashboards.
  • • Conduct safety, reliability, and congestion analyses.
  • • Evaluate equity, accessibility, and sustainability outcomes of projects.
  • • Automate workflows and maintain reproducible analysis code.
  • • Support agencies in legislative or administrative reviews with objective analysis.
