Description
Analyze and optimize building performance across energy, water, and indoor environmental quality; lead audits, benchmarking, and commissioning; and develop strategies, standards, and projects that improve efficiency, comfort, and compliance.
- • Review and update building performance standards, O&M procedures, and efficiency project proposals.
- • Research codes, standards, technologies, and utility programs that affect building performance.
- • Detect and investigate system faults and code compliance gaps through audits and data analysis.
- • Define and track KPIs such as energy use intensity (EUI), water use intensity, IAQ metrics, and comfort indices.
- • Prepare rebate, incentive, grant, and capital funding proposals for efficiency and retrofit projects.
- • Provide technical support for commissioning and retro-commissioning activities.
- • Scope and procure meters, controls, and equipment needed for performance improvements.
- • Develop and maintain performance plans, O&M guidelines, and commissioning documentation.
- • Produce dashboards, benchmarking, and M&V reports showing savings, KPIs, and comfort outcomes.
- • Create outreach and training materials for occupants and operators on efficient building use.
- • Collect and analyze utility bills, submeter data, BAS trends, and field measurements to guide decisions.
- • Evaluate and prioritize conservation measures for cost, feasibility, and operational impact.
- • Monitor BAS trends and metered consumption to detect anomalies and verify savings.
- • Collaborate with facilities, engineering, and vendors to set building performance goals and deliver projects.
