Description
Conduct structured interviews and administer questionnaires to collect high-quality survey data. Recruit and screen respondents, obtain consent, follow sampling and interviewing protocols, accurately capture responses in survey systems, and report field conditions. May assist with outreach, basic data checks, and mentoring new interviewers.
- • Conduct interviews by phone, in person, or online using standardized questionnaires.
- • Recruit, screen, and schedule respondents to meet sample and quota requirements.
- • Explain study purpose, obtain informed consent, and maintain confidentiality.
- • Follow sampling, contact, and callback procedures, including refusal conversion steps.
- • Accurately record responses in CATI/CAPI or web survey systems with correct skip logic.
- • Review and code open-ended responses per guidelines during or after interviews.
- • Perform basic data checks and resolve inconsistencies in real time or during verification.
- • Track call outcomes and sample dispositions; report daily productivity and response rates.
- • Prepare and submit field notes on interview conditions, refusals, and issues encountered.
- • Implement updates to scripts or procedures and provide feedback on question wording or flow.
- • Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet timelines and quality standards.
- • Handle respondent questions, concerns, and objections professionally; escalate as needed.
- • Set up, test, and maintain interviewing equipment and software; troubleshoot minor issues.
- • Adhere to training materials, SOPs, and ethical and safety protocols.
- • Participate in training sessions and quality monitoring; assist with peer coaching when requested.
- • Manage personal workload across multiple studies and adjust schedules to meet targets.
