Description
Provide direct support to licensed speech-language pathologists (SLPs) by assisting with screenings, delivering treatment activities, and documenting outcomes for individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Implement SLP-designed intervention plans, prepare materials, and monitor alternative/augmentative communication devices under supervision.
  • • Assist SLPs with client screenings of speech, language, voice, fluency, articulation, or hearing without interpretation.
  • • Implement SLP-developed treatment plans and therapy protocols.
  • • Facilitate remediation and development of communication skills under supervision.
  • • Collect, chart, and compile data on client performance and program effectiveness.
  • • Document client progress toward treatment objectives in required systems while maintaining confidentiality.
  • • Set up, test, troubleshoot, and maintain therapy and AAC equipment and materials.
  • • Support SLP-led research or quality improvement activities.
  • • Provide carryover training and education to families, caregivers, or staff as directed by the SLP.
  • • Perform administrative support tasks, including preparing materials, keeping records, managing supplies, and scheduling sessions.
  • • Create charts, graphs, or other visuals to communicate performance data.
  • • Select or prepare age- and goal-appropriate instructional materials per SLP guidance.
