  • • Revise comic scripts based on editorial, client, and licensor feedback.
  • • Select subjects, genres, and tones suited to sequential storytelling.
  • • Plan series and issue outlines; structure arcs, scenes, and page/panel beats.
  • • Format scripts to publisher guidelines and submit pitches, synopses, and finals.
  • • Secure copyrights and manage IP per contracts and publisher policies.
  • • Write scripts for single issues, graphic novels, webcomics, and anthology stories.
  • • Develop themes, plots, worldbuilding, character bibles, dialogue, captions, and SFX.
  • • Collaborate with artists, editors, letterers, and colorists to align story and visuals.
  • • Research settings, history, technology, and lore to ensure accuracy and continuity.
  • • Adapt text to fit panel space, page pacing, and completed artwork.
  • • Create cover copy, solicit text, and loglines for marketing materials.
  • • Attend conventions, signings, and promotional events; participate in panels.
  • • Teach or mentor comic writing in classes or workshops.
  • • Write humor strips, comedic issues, and gag pages when required.
  • • Coordinate crossovers and shared-universe stories with other writers.
  • • Track schedules and continuity; deliver scripts and revisions on deadline.
