Description
Under the supervision of licensed rehabilitation professionals, perform delegated, routine tasks to support patient care and clinic operations. Prepare patients and treatment areas, assist with mobility and therapeutic activities, maintain equipment and supplies, and document services as directed.
  • • Change linens and keep treatment supplies stocked and orderly.
  • • Prepare treatment areas and set up equipment per therapist direction.
  • • Clean and disinfect equipment and organize workspaces after sessions.
  • • Greet, prepare, and position patients for therapy.
  • • Transport and transfer patients safely to and from rehab areas using wheelchairs or gait belts.
  • • Secure patients on or into therapy equipment and provide guarding as directed.
  • • Assist patients with exercises and functional activities under therapist instruction.
  • • Observe patient responses during therapy and promptly report changes to clinicians.
  • • Record assisted treatments, patient responses, and equipment used per policy.
  • • Perform clerical duties, including answering phones, taking messages, filing, and ordering supplies.
  • • Maintain, assemble, and perform basic care on rehab equipment and furniture; report repair needs.
  • • Assist patients to dress, undress, and don or doff braces, splints, or slings as directed.
  • • Help fit and adjust supportive devices under therapist supervision.
  • • Reinforce therapist instruction on safe use of mobility aids or orthotics.
  • • Measure and record basic vital signs; assist with range-of-motion measures as directed.
  • • Participate in patient care tasks such as assisting with meals and hygiene on rehab units.
  • • Schedule patient appointments and help coordinate therapy calendars.
  • • Prepare heat or cold packs and other noninvasive modalities for therapist application and monitor use per policy.
  • • Arrange, stock, and track treatment supplies and assist with inventory.
