Description
Collect, verify, and maintain employee time and attendance records. Calculate hours worked and leave, resolve exceptions, ensure compliance with policies and labor rules, and submit approved time data to payroll.
  • • Collect, verify, and enter employee time and attendance data from clocks, timesheets, and scheduling systems.
  • • Review timesheets and work charts to detect and reconcile missing punches, errors, and discrepancies.
  • • Verify hours worked, pay codes, and adjustments; post approved corrections to records.
  • • Calculate regular, overtime, and premium hours in accordance with policy and labor rules.
  • • Track and update leave balances and accruals; process approved time-off requests.
  • • Maintain employee profiles, schedules, and pay rules within the timekeeping system.
  • • Distribute, collect, and audit timecards each pay period.
  • • Train employees and managers on time clocks and timekeeping procedures.
  • • Communicate with employees and supervisors regarding attendance policies and timesheet issues.
  • • Run and distribute exception, overtime, and attendance reports for management.
  • • Coordinate supervisor approvals to ensure timecards are finalized before payroll deadlines.
  • • Prepare and transmit approved time data to payroll for processing.
  • • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with labor laws, union agreements, and company policies.
  • • Investigate and document attendance issues, tardiness, and absenteeism per policy.
  • • Set up new hires, transfers, and separations in the timekeeping system.
  • • Maintain and archive time and attendance records in accordance with retention requirements.
  • • Support payroll in resolving time-related pay inquiries and adjustments.
  • • Stay current on changes to timekeeping regulations, system updates, and company procedures.
